Those who have seen Ponette (I haven't mustered the courage) here's a little article about it: http://www.americamagazine.org/blog/entry.cfm?blog_id=1&entry_id=4192
And don't worry we will use the air conditioner. I came home tonight and everyone including Monica was in their underwear. After being in AC all day, I don't want to sleep in a Turkish bath.
I'm going to some "Go, go - rah, rah" business seminar today. Speakers are...
Terry Bradshaw: Legendary NFL Hall of Fame Quarterback Brian Tracy: America’s Top Authority on Selling Goldie Hawn: Oscar-Winning Actress and Producer General Colin Powell: World-Famous Soldier Stateman Bill Cosby: America’s Favorite Comedian Rick Belluzzo: Legendary President of Microsoft Rudy Giuliani: Former New York City Mayor General Stanley McChrystal: Celebrated Four-Star General Lou Holtz: Renowned Notre Dame Head Coach
They are going to share "secrets to success". I wonder what they are selling.
Happy Birthday to all I've missed over the past few days.
Wow, Tom, those are some heavy hitters! I wonder what Goldie Hawn's doing in there. I mean, not that she might not have some gogettem kind of message, but do you think she needs money?
I'm unbelievably happy to announce that Josh and I have a son.
Don't post anything on Facebook yet though, bc Josh wants to not make it super public yet. However, we have indeed accepted a referral for a 2.5 year old amazingly cute little boy, had his record looked at by two doctors (you know one, his initials are JK) and have agreed to accept the referral.
We aren't allowed to post photos or give much info and he won't officially be ours for a long time (maybe 6-9 months - our first trip to Ethiopia to go to court)but unofficially he's ours.
We're not supposed to release any of that info, and so I don't want to do so online. But it's a good name. Easy to pronounce, a variation of a familiar Biblical name.

Ponette is the saddest movie ever made ever. Ask Emily.

It's 99 degrees here! We had a snow day 2 weeks ago...weird...refuse to turn on the air conditioner.
Mary, I refused also. Isn't it weird. We had frost 4 days last week.
If anyone is coming to Sean's grad party you are more than welcome to stay here. Just let me know.

I was not in my underwear. Joe is just a big heat baby.

When my former boss was going through menopause I'd walk into her office and she'd be sitting there in her bra. Well, two times anyway.
At the time, our offices were in a house and she and I were the only ones upstairs.
P
Lisa, what did you do to celebrate?
Tom, I hope you come prepared with a couple of good questions.

We took the kids to the movie Priest last night.
I didn't like it. Bad acting and a somewhat incoherent setting. A futurisic setting that was part "1984" as in state control, part western.
The story was also incoherent in that it was a vampire/western/sci-fi/martial arts movie. Too much going on.
The actors were either really bad or were instructed to over act like William Shatner as Captain Kirk.
