Braden wants a waffle iron for her birthday so she can make waffles for us. Jackpot! She also wants an ipod touch. Maybe she can earn money for it with her waffle stand.

Don and Dawn stayed at our house until this morning and decided to bike around CB a little before heading home. Dawn somehow hit the side of the pedestrian bridge as they were biking across and took a bad spill. She ended up being taken to the hospital. She has stitches in her scalp and her wrist is wrapped but not broken and it seems like every joint on her body is scraped or badly bruised. They stayed here another night. She felt up to a drive to a local park tonight and took a little walk and snapped a lot of pictures (great sunset, full moon through the trees) but went straight up to bed when we got home. So, no serious injuries but a painful fall and I'm sure she'll be even sorer tomorrow.
On a lighter note, we talked to Braden tonight and she was busy making breakfast-for-dinner waffles while Ryan fried the bacon. Yum.
Nice move by the Governator and his mistress. Father a child, have it live in the same house as you and your children for 10 years and don't tell anyone, including the child.

By the way, I propose we run our next exercise competition as advised by Pat, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There could be a presentation of award. If you blow a day or two you still have time to catch up. And I am just not self-motivated, but I'm pathologically competitive.
I'm going to Chicago today for a restaurant expo. World's biggest food show.
Tonight Ed and I are going to go see Greg Allman in a private, invitation only show, at the House of Blues courtesy of Kellog's. And since I'm kind of a big deal I've been invited to go back stage after the show and meet "the artist".
As the boys and I "hooted and hollared" over not being raptured...we realized that actually we wanna be raptured, right? Doesn't the story go that today believers are taken to heaven and the rest are left to wander the earth until we fall to hell on 10/21/11? Hmm...not sure. Anywhoot...we're here and as Donny exclaimed "Good thing we weren't rUptured!" (tee,hee)
We're fine. We live in South Minne. North Minne (5 miles from here) has a lot of damage. They were on curfew last night to prevent looting. We just had some really hard rain.
Did you guys have to camp out in your basement? Glad you're okay!
What are people's plans for Memorial Day? I just discovered Easter Lake in Des Moines. Any of you who have ever lived here visited there? It's awesome! We'll probably go on a nice picnic and maybe do some fishing if it's not too crowded. We will also spend a lot of time redoing out fence post supports. All of them on one side of the yard are rotten. Andy dug down a bit before he started and saw they were all rotten because there was no concrete (or cement?) holding them. So once he started putting in the new posts, and dug down a lot more, realized there was. It is just like 3ft below ground. THat seems like too much to me. So after 8 hours, he removed and installed two new posts. We still have six to go.
Wow! 10 miles, 28 obstacles. Does he have his Village People costume ready to go (beware chafing)? Post race brewskis and he'll apparently have to get a tatoo. Good luck!
