I was able to get the Straub Beer for $17.25 a case. To make the math easier and to defray the costs of tolls and gas I'll get $20 for each case. The cost of the keg was $70 (including a $10 deposite) so a couple of buck each should cover the cost of that. I left at 5:30 yesterday morning and got back around 7:00 PM - long drive!
Oh - the max dimensions for a refrigerator at the farm are 99" tall X 30" wide X 28" deeep.

Huh?
Ed~ Thanks for the measurements I requested. However...99 inches tall? That's like 8+ feet!
Yeah, I think it's 69 inches. I didn't even think about that when you were writing it down.
Ellen, would you like to say a few words?
Yes, I was just about to do that. Andy and I got engaged last night, so we can all look forward to another fun wedding sometime next September!
And thanks Ed
Congratulations Ellen and Andy...we are very happy for the two of you! :-)
That's even better news.
Congratulations Ellen and Andy!!!
YourMom described your ring to me,it's sounds very cool!
A big congrats to Ellen and Andy! How exciting.
I just got back from the doctor and ... IT'S A BOY!
Em~ WooHoo! As a Mom of 2 boys...2 years and 4 months apart...it is awesome and they have a very special relationship. How much apart will your boys be?
Oh and any name ideas? How 'bout, "Dude?" That would be cute...Jude and Dude! Ha.
**Is apart one word or two???
you can't just name him Dude, it has to be 'The Dude'
congrats to Em and Ellen and Andy.
oh, and thanks Ed.
Just don't name him Jaedyn.
Oh, yeah, congratulations!
Congratulations again Ellen and ANDY. Andy, we were so excited last night talking to Ellen that we didn't congratulate you personally. Congratulations and welcome to the family.
Ed, you're making me thirsty.
Em and Scott, CONGRATULATIONS!
Congrats Ellen and Andy! Emily and Scott, Joe G sounds like a rapper and there hasn't been a Joe for some time. Ed, does the keg need to be refrigerated or just kept in a dark place and fawned over?
CONGRATS in a BIG WAY to Ellen and Andy...may you always have a smile on your lips and a song in your hearts(or something like that)!
Your God Dad
Also...Congrats to Emily and Scott
You had better hold off on buying new furniture...for about 20 years!
We saw Barack and Michelle Obama today and I'm impressed with both of them. She just gave a speech introducing him, but she was dynamite - very positive and passionate. He's smart and it's obvious he thinks about things.
Trivia: what president was a Senator for as long as Obama will have been when (if) he gets elected?
Answer: Abraham Lincoln.
Congatulaions to Ellen and Andy!
Congratulaions to Emily and Scott!
Happy Belated birthday to Erin and Mary!
I haven't seen the blog for a week and it seems I have missed a lot.
We were in Okoboji for 6 nights and just returned. We had fun and I don't know how we did it but managed to spend 6 hours at Arnolds Park. One hour was spent on a boat ride. The beauty of Arnolds Park is that you are supposed be able to do it all in 1-2 hours. I guess when there are 5 kids each wanting different rides it talks a lot longer. Donnie was with us. We had fun with him. A super sweet, kind little boy.
The farm looks great. Can you come paint my house next?
Congrats to everyone!!!!!
I just sprayed lens cleaner all over my hair. I thought it was a product to make me look pretty. Instead everyone will see more clearly how I really look.
P
My Mom used Hemorrhoid cream, once, instead of tooth paste! She now keeps them in separate drawers.
It's better than spraying hair spray into your eyes (or on your glasses, for that matter.)
Now, if you rub your hair all over with one of those little blue cloths, it will be shiny.
congrats to Em and Ellen Andy.
and see you soon.
Last night was our 5th anniversary and we went out to eat. I found a babysitter on Craigslist. We were desperate. Anyway, as I'm driving her to our place the 16 year old tells me she's in independant study because she's so far behind in credits. She just got back from living with her uncle in Fullerton and he kept pulling her out of school. I'm thinking this is a little weird. Then we were talkng abut a park by the library and I told her we went to go feed the ducks there but the lake had dried up and the ducks were gone. She said, "Oh that's so sad. I used to live in the shelter by the park and feed the ducks all the time." (There's a home for teenagers there.) Anyway, we were gone for two hours and everything was fine. She seemed like a very nice girl. I met her mom too and her mom seemed nice. Strange.
We will be at:

We are in Cabin#3. Our group has 8 cabins and 46 people.
See you in a week!
Speaking of sitters...
The girl who's been our sitter for years is going to college on Monday. Her mother passed away three months ago from cancer. She has three older sibs who all lived at home and none had jobs (one is in his thirties now). I suspect our girl did most of the funeral arrangements weeks after her high school graduation. Now she's been trying to figure out the application process for college with the help of her best friend's mom. Dad's not a big part of the picture. She wants to be a Chaplain. Nance, she could use a few prayers from your mom's famous chain.
Poor thing...yes, I will place her on my Mom's prayer chain and will keep her in my prayers as well.
Thank you. Her name is Cassie Heberer.
Ellen and Andy, congrats again!!!!!!
Congrats to Emily and Scott as well.
Congratulations to ALL the Congratulatees. (I made that up on my very own).
And Congratulations to us. We have managed to get all of our ducks in a row and leave the restaurant behind for a week of relaxation. We leave in a couple hours. HQ tells me to expect a lot of action.
FYI - Senator Joe Biden will be our guest at the restaurant for a meet and greet on August 31st. I can't wait to give him my advice.
Tom
Congratulations to Tom and Nance. Get outta town!
I wrote a farm report but it didn't post. Suffice it to say that we left a wall for all the wannabe painters, complete with high-altitude dangers and bushy, brushy creepiness. It's the chimney wall in back. Also every barn door on the place needs painting. There's no escape.
Anyone besides Mom and Dad get any flooding?
