No, Pat, we are not wearing shorts. But we are sending a little surprise your way.

I just looked at the forecast. I am wearing shorts and a tank top all day today, since it's probably the last time.

Eli's getting 5 Guys Hamburger and fresh cut fries for his birthday dinner.

Happy Birthday Stevo.

I hear this storm is likely to hit Long Island hard.

Also, I think we will be home from dec. 25-27. Not for thanksgiving.

We gave Eli a class ring and cleared his debt with us, ha!
Tonight, we're taking him and a friend to Dave & Buster's.
Thank you very much for the Birthday wishes...I will have him read this tonight.

Happy Birthday Eli and Stevo! So was it 5Guys or Dave and Busters? I love 5 Guys!

So this morning we were watching last nights Vikings game that Sam insisted we record. Sam saw Adrian Peterson praying before the game and burst into tears. I asked him why he was crying. He said, "I don't want to die! Pray to The Lord so that I can have 100 lives!" This all stems from a book about ghosts Jude brought home from the library. Sam won't even go upstairs by himself now.

A kid's mind can really freak him out. I remember laying in bed half freaked out compemplating the notion of nothingness. As in, what if there was no God to create us and the world? What if there was nothing? What if there was nothing but a great void? And even that didn't exist because nothing existed!!!! This thought would keep me sleepless many nights.

We had 5 Guys last night and will do Dave and Busters tonight. We have a way of stretching our Birthday Celebrations.

I remember reading a scary stories comic book in which a nice-looking little old lady would quilt people's faces - no features, just a quilted face. I used to feel Mary and Lisa's faces in the night just to be sure.

Oscar is totally interested in death and the afterlife. He frequently tells people he will still love them when they grow old and die. Also, he told a "spooky story" to his class at group time and made one girl cry.

We are getting rain bands from Sandy. Projecting gusts of up to 70 mph today and tomorrow. Crazy. Never considered Cleveland to be subject to hurricane weather.
