Tom is definitely on the mend...but, unable to sleep for very long, therefore he's very tired. His "unknown" illness syptoms were...fever/chills/fatigue/body aches/shooting pain/vertigo and nausea. He leaves today around noon.
Happy birthday, Em! Hope those boys are good to you. Do you have any plans?
Mmmmmm, fresh ground Columbia Supremo with two tablespoons of heavy cream. A malt for grownups. Too bad it counts as a meal on Stevo's and my last-ditch 5-day fat fast before the weigh-in Saturday.
Thanks everyone. For my birthday all the kids slept through the night and I woke up early enough to get a shower! Scott's been out of town since Monday and he returns tomorrow. Jude and I just made rice krispy bars and i am going to order pizza tonight and I will be able to get something I normally wouldn't order when I have to share with Scott - something with artichokes or sun dried tomoto. I'm letting myself use paper plates and bowls but someone needs to come clean the sticky marshmallow pan that is soaking in my sink. Scott sent me a card from St. Louis and we will go out next week.
yesterday in my observation class (my last day at this school) the teacher talks about role models. asks, who are your role models? "mom", "my big brother", " dad", "uncle jack", "Dog the bounty hunter". Kids are awesome.
We're going to Jim's tomorrow right after we weigh in and then on to Grace's tomorrow night. It's too bad - Ellen and Andy are coming to C.B. for her friend's wedding shower. But we'll get to see them tonight at least for a while.
Tom decided to drive, yesterday, until 1am/cst and found himself in Toledo. He checked into a Hotel and slept 3 hours and then, showered, ate breakfast and hit the road around 6:30am/est. He feels 100%, other than being tired. He arrived in the Cleveland area around 10am/est today. He checked into his Westlake Hotel around 1pm and napped. He feels great! WooHoo! Right now, he is driving around looking at the communities which we've been researching and then, he plans to have a bite to eat. Praise God! We are very lucky for this wonderful opportunity and that he's recovered, just in time, from his illness. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. :-)
Went to Michael's 1st Eucharist last night. He wins the award for cutest one there with his missing front teeth and a little round glasses. MOm and dad were there along with Erin's parents and Cathy and Steve. We had a nice dinner and then Cathy and Steve went on to see Grace and her family. I drove back home in the rain. I hate driving in the rain at night. Too much reflection on the road. We were home before 10:30. A very nice evening.
Ooohh...does anyone have a photo of Mike @ his 1st Communion?
I was a delegate to the distict Democratic convention on Saturday...wish we would have gone to Bettendorf! The idiots voted to take "God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance...bad on many levels, just let FOX get hold of that!

Dang! Scott better have something good planned for when he gets back. Have a good day.
Is Tom feeling better? Hope so. That's a long ways to drive while feeling like poop.

I have been telling everyone Jude's version of heaven. They like it.
Tom is gone...
Dog the Bounty Hunter...what grade was that?
it was a middle school special ed class, mostly 6-8th graders.
Mom and Dad are on their way to Jim and Erin's house for Mike's 1st Communion.
What's everyone else doing this weekend?
I am writing 3 papers and a 10 page lesson plan. If I finish it all this rainy weekend I will be done with all work for the semester.
