The Wedding was AMAZING. Dave and Phelan sang a song at the reception too:

I LOVE that song.

The wedding and the song were great!

Scott drove to NE today. His grandma Bertha had her leg amputated below the knee last week and she's not doing to well. I think it's something with her kidneys now.

The wedding was amazing!! It was so pretty there and the weather was great...all the dresses and suits were cool, sort of Florida 1920's cool, Jen's dress especially.
I wish you all could have joined us, but it was so great to see Pete and Mely, Frank, Ed, Emily and Scott and Mom and Dad...everyone was wined and dined in high fashion. We were happy with the rehearsal dinner on the boat for the sunset cruise with great food and open bar and dolphins following us!
After the wedding, the cocktail hour on the beach with a jazz duo and food and open bar (and more dolphins)...then dinner (with Dad giving the blessing)the dinner was followed by Phelan and David's great song and then a wedding band till midnight (open bar still) and desserts...this was followed by an afterglow party in another room with a d-jay and more open bar till 2 a.m....then the brunch the next morning overlooking the ocean and resort with more great food and bloody mary's and champagne. It was a never ending party with great people! Florida is beautiful! There are lots of photos on facebook.

I won the cream soup category at the Heartland chili and soup cookoff. It's not hard to do - just have a soup with lots of butter, bacon, sour cream, cream, and oh, yeah, potatoes.

Well I guess Grandma Bertha is hanging on. But prognosis isn't good. is anyone getting snow. The forecasters promised us severe winter storm but we've just had a few flakes so far.

Mary, the wedding sounds like it was AMAZING and the pictures have been fab. I've never heard "afterglow party" before but it shall become my new favorite phrase!

Instead of studying for my accounting mid-term, Joe and I went on a double date to a fantastic Cajun restaurant in town. And he didn't even let me calculate the tip! It was lots of fun. Somehow I managed to get goat cheese up my sleeve, though!
