Happy birthday, Ellen! What did you eat for your birthday dinner (I need to know because I'm really hungry right now) and what did you get for presents?

in the news...wish the Mets had him!
Ambidextrous (sp?) pitcher for the Yankees Pat Venditte...

He's an Omaha boy from a nice family, he went to Creighton and pitched for the Bluejays, with both hands...the Yankees tried to draft him after his junior year at Creighton and he declined and finished his senior year, and then the Yankees came back and drafted him. He's always used a 6 fingered glove and just switches it back and forth.

Thank you!
It was a perfect sunny day. We met Joe and Brianne at a restaurant called the Chicago Speakeasy. It's a fun place. I had fried chicken with a side of spaghetti, then we ate ice cream cake on our patio. Brianne also had fried chicken and the boys had bbq ribs.

Cathy & Steve and her Generations of Faith team did this last night:

Seder dinner for 200!

It was amazing... bitter tears, lots of wine, lamb, couscous salad, green salad... the whole thing. The whole room got up and clapped for them afterwards.

Catie was a server, she met us at the door and escorted us to our table. We didn't work the dinner, we just enjoyed ourselves.

For a minute there I was thinking that was some special kind of shoe shine.

Happy birthday again, Peanut!

Fried chicken with a side of spaghetti. Sounds perfect.

I'm washing feet tonight. I'm all nervous.

Wow, the Seder dinner sounds amazing.

I'm getting excited for lamb at Mom and Dad's on Easter!
Ed, I thought that was a shoe polish, also.

I am getting excited for the lamb too!

Today is national walk to work day? Anybody else do it?

Ok... I thought it was shoe polish.

Ed, please solve mystery: What is Maxwell Street Polish?

I did not walk to work. Bet the LaVelle's didk, though.

It's sausages people.

Isn't it?

Yes - A Maxwell Street Polish is a Polish sausage with carmelized onions with mustard on a bun.

As of May 1st the albatross around our necks known as Sister Sarah's will be removed. We sold it yesterday. Mary and Mike did an awesome job with the listing and dealing with the buyers.

Two months ago with the long bad stretch we and most other restaurants have had we had not much hope. Within a month's time I get a suh-weeeeeeeeet job and sell the restaurant. Incredible. Like my former boss told me when I shared this with him "God is watching over you."

He is.
