So last night Josh had planned a nice night out for us and when we got home the entire kitchen was flooded. Someone had 'fixed' our fridge which is circe 1982 (for real) and somehow the water for the ice maker started and never stopped. It's a tile floor and also it's not our house but what a pain. A different story: This weekend coming home from practice the large SUV next to Josh blew a tire. The SUV flew up and over the back end of his car and landed on teh car behind him (on the interstate). In his rearview mirror a guy flew out of the car and was tumbling on the road. Everyone else ended up being ok except for cuts and bruises.
Team Pants-on-the-Ground had a kickoff healthy low-fat brunch after Mass yesterday. Then Stevo and I blew it by having a T-bone Valentine's Day dinner in front of the fireplace where we sort of cleaned out the fridge and ate up all the naughty stuff. Damn those pierogis!
I love getting late Christmas presents. When we were at Joe's, Brianne finished knitting a beautiful scarf for me while we were all standing around with our coats on. It's warm and soft and tawny.
I think we are staying at the closer one without the shuttle service. But I think Dad is booking at the one with the shuttle, which is a good idea for all you party critters out there. I just figured we would want to be closer and probably wouldn't be using the shuttle because we might be helping with stuff.
I forgot to mention that Molly and Brian hosted the brunch. It was delicious with a spinach and (mostly) egg white omelet and non-fat cranberry muffins and turkey bacon. We are going to win.
This weekend I read about an enterprising guy who is selling a service to people who believe in the Rapture, where for $110.00 he promises to adopt their left-behind pets of out to certified non-criminal atheists, who presumably will have decent enough characters to fulfill their promises but who won't be taken up because of their unbelief. He has his atheist network all set up and he has sold to over 100 people so far. I bet if they get left behind, they're gonna want their money back pronto.
I was think of pork loin dinner... but then remembered that we have Emma's violin concert tonight. No big, fat dinner on Fat Tuesday! I'm already in sack cloth and ashes denying my self... lisa
Just a reminder....If you have not seen the Sam and Esther video produced by my cousin, Gerry, the address,(or whatever it is called) is toward the end of the last post, the one about the chipmunk who saw his shadow. I can't think of a better way to decide what to do for Lent--watch this video first and then decide. Dad
I spoke to Mary Ellan a little while ago and she asked me to post a request: Will someone please send her the full address of the family blogsite. She said she has to be able to cut and paste it so she said that she needs to get it by email. Dad
I can't bring myself to watch the Gerry Straub video yet, but I will. I just finished a book of short stories written by a Nigerian Jesuit. It was fiction but stories that all could be true. So depressing.

Ohhh, love that video. Haven't seen it for a few years.
Thank goodness Josh didn't get hurt.
Sean is getting his braces off right now.

That's a horrific story about the SUV. Glad Josh wasn't riding his bike next to them.
Hey everyone... when are you going to arrive for Joe & Brianne's wedding? Which hotel are you staying at?
Lisa
Yikes. My question is: What practice?
Thank you Dad, for taking us to Ireland.

Happy President's Day and Valentine's Day to all.

WOW. That's ineffably remarkable what Gerry and the village2village/San Damiano foundations are doing.
The video is pretty heavy. Maybe for lent i'll give up watching you tube.
Grandpa-did you get that email i sent you? are you straub@rconnect.com?
p.s. no one in europe believed me about The Concept of groundhog day. And in france, the toothfairy is a mouse.

The toothfairy in Spain is a mouse too and its name is "Ratonicito Perez" which always makes me think of a teeth stealing Speedy Gonzalez.

Tom, did you ever decide about the supervisor position?
