Question #3

There is a large Clydesdale horse with his hoofs shacked to the ground while his head is held in place with a thick rope. He is consiscience and standing upright, but completly immobile.

For some reason, every polical prisioner on earth wrongly jailed will be released from captivity if you can kick this horse to death in less than 20 minutes. You are allowed to wear steel toed boots.

Would you attempt to do this and do you think you could do it?

Yes and I would hope so.

no and no. besides, those rabble rousers knew what they were getting into.

I don't think I could attempt to do it nor do I think I would be physically able to do it. If I thought I could kill him with one or two blows, I would but that is not the case.

"Yes and yes."

Yes and Yes...Can I put daggers on the boots?? Does the horse have to die from the kicking, or can I suffocate it while kicking? Is it a really old or sick horse...they shoot horses, don't they?

Do we supply our own boots?

You can't have blades in your boots nor can you suffocate it. The horse is completely healthy and must die from you kicking it within 20 minutes. If it does not die in 20 minutes the prisioners do not go free.

You can supply your own boots but there are some there for you as well.

Was the horse wrongly jailed?

you leave that noble beast alone! haven't equines been abused enough by mankind?

Political prisoners WRONGLY jailed? Who determines? Why not all of them? I would need more details before I agreed to try to do it (don't think I could - those horses are huge! And if its head is held up - that's six or seven feet high) Could you hire a ninja or Jack Bauer to do it?

Are we counting our prisoners at Guantanamo Bay?

Are these questions going to get worse and worse?

since kiefer sutherland got a DUI, will Jack Bauer have to be chauffered next season?

Good question. It reminds me of a story I read in an old, old issue of the Daily Nonpariel (our paper) about the police department finally getting a car, and they were so happy because they wouldn't have to take streetcars to the other side of town in emergencies any more. Can you imagine dialing 911 and waiting on public transportation to deliver your police protection?

Ed...we don't hafta stand on the ground when we kick him to death...do we?

No. Anyway, I don't plan to.

Joe 3, how was the field trip? Were you really able to get any work done?

Nance, glad to hear your mom seems to be OK.

Oh for heaven's sake, who makes up these ridiculous scenarios? Kick a horse to death and set political prisoners free... why don't we just invade Iraq to eliminate Taliban WMD's and be done with it? Then we can journey to the center of the earth in a ship made of unobtanium and restart the earth's core since we messed it up testing preemptive nukes in a top secret research facility in Alaska? (That was in a movie with Hillary Swank on tv a couple nights ago and I'll never get those 2 hours of my life back)

No and no.
Joe, did you really get any work done? Did you even really try? Did Eli and Betty have fun? What a great trip. No boring museums to visit before you get to the fun.

My Mom reports that since she has resumed taking her, "forgotten," glyberide...her numbers are, once again, great! Thank God.

Eli had a great time! :-)

I would definitely sacrifice a horse for the lives of husbands, brothers and sons...too bad I would have to, "karate chop," the horse and quite uncertain I would be successful.

Did anyone watch the Green Bay/Seattle game? Perfect Green Bay weather - a blizzard.

Last night we went to a farewell party for Joe's old friend Jimmy, who's going into the Air Force. Their old baseball team was there, all in suits and ties and dark glasses (in honor of Joe & Jimmy's appearance at their prom as the Blues brothers, I guess)but anyway we had a great time. Lots of baseball parents there too. He's going to leave his car in our driveway because we don't have enough cars in our driveway, and Joe took his dog Wilbur, who looks like a fox - pointy nose, red fur and skittishness included. Ellen was also here, cake-shopping, choosing china, etc. Nice weekend.

Josh found a roach in our apartment. This is the part about Florida living that is not so fun. Our cats were playing cat and mouse with it.
