Happy birthday Brian!!
I don't think you're 30...see you at Cathy and Steve's later...a double party for you and Uncle Fr. Bob!

Brian and brain are almost the same!
Just change A for I and Brian's a Brain!
I like this new name game!
But it's not always the same,
'cause not all names are right for this game!
A one syllable two vowel has definite gain,
A two syllable one vowel is really quite lame!
So, enjoy your birthday Brian the Brain
And I'll spend all day playing with names!

If you're working around the house today and find you need a "coupling", you can find the best at www.straub-coupling.com".
They have a cool logo!

Happy Birthday Brian!!! So, you're a Taurus too. I'm not surprised. Maybe we can have an event at the graveyard games with teams divided by sign.

That sounds good to me. I believe Libra would have a fairly large team.

Happy Birthday Brian! Why would monkeys be flying out of your butt?

I think they quit making Taurus(es)...you all are in decline, or very collectible!

Ford renamed the 500 the Taurus.

Happy Birthday Brian. Do you have any ideas for the straub games?

We had a very nice dinner at Jayjack's yesterday to celebrate Uncle Bob's birthday! Cathy and Steve always have great food and drink! It's always hard to gauge when Uncle Bob will be "finished" with a Mass, because hearing confessions is so important to his mission. I was to bring him to Cathy's after the 1:00 Mass...we arrived at Jayjack's at 3:45!!
He's a celebrity, for sure. The outdoor Mass was a HUGE success, under a tent with mariacci (sp) musicians. I went to the 1:00, also packed, in Spanish, with great music. He doesn't miss anything, though...I was a few minutes late and even with a packed house, he noticed it, and asked me (jokingly) how much of his homily I had heard!

Happy Birthday to Brian
Who's younger than Ryan
But not by too much
And thirty is such
A bummer, but you're twenty-nine!

Ditto on the first birthday wish re the screaming monkeys.

Red Oak, Iowa is being evacuated because of flooding and a couple stretches of I-29 near the Missouri border and at Missouri Valley are closed because of floodwaters. Everyone I know with a basement has water in it, including us. It's actually not raining right now and may not resume until tonight. If the sun ever comes out, people will scream and hide.

In Topeka they evacuated 500 people, some from roofs, in the south part of town.
There aren't enough National Guard trucks, tractors or humvees to help out in Greenburg (Greenville?), Kansas because they're in Iraq.

Yes, Topeka saw some serious flooding. My house got a couple inches in the basement, but nothing was badly damaged. Parts of town near rivers and creeks had to be evacuated. Bush just announced he's going to Greensburg on Wednesday.

Work tonight is going to be interesting. In addition to what I would normally do, we have a six-page special section on the floods that I will be doing most of the layout for.

Hey, Joe! How'd your layout go?

Hey, whatcha all doing for Mother's Day?

Wake up late, do nothing and go to the movie Spiderman 3. :-)

Joe J, how is your paper addressing the burning issue of Paris Hilton's jail sentance?

walking to lunch to pick up some chicken tacos, i passed an older ford taurus that had 3 of those little donut spares on and 1 full sized tire. i had to wonder if they had another donut in the trunk just waiting...

I was at a hearing this morning and a psychiarist's report was entered into evidence. Impressively, the Doctor worked the words "dangerousness" and "impulsivity" into the same sentence. Are these even words?

Indubitably. The phsychiatrists verbousness is a defensism against those who would launch an assault on his creditialistic ponderisms.

We'll be driving into Whittemore from Chicago for Mother's day...I think Dad is planning a cook-out for Mom at about 5:00!!! (We're picking Caitlin up from college) I get my cast off the next day in Mason City and then have to show houses in Omaha @3:00, I hope I have time to shave my castless leg!

I'm tired.

Will you be able to walk on it right away or has it wasted away?
Good thing you will still be on crutches in South Bend. You won't have to help at all!

Work was crazy last night, but everything turned out well. I got a few compliments on my design of the special section, and our coverage was great.

Now our governor (Kathleen Sebelius) and Bush are butting heads because she is complaining that we don't have enough national guard troops to help with tornado and flood relief because they're all in Iraq. It will be interesting when he gets here tomorrow.

We're giving Paris Hilton the coverage she deserves.
