I apologize if this was sent to you previously. I am not certain the message was sent to everyone.

Dear Parents,

I am pleased to be able to announce that both middle school positions have now been filled. Erin McBurney will be the new 7th and 8th grade social studies and 8th grade religion teacher. Erin grew up in South Dakota where she received a degree in Middle School and History Education. Erin has taught middle school social studies for the past four years in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she also was a volunteer Confirmation teacher. She comes highly recommended.

Emily Guilliatt has accepted the middle school language arts position. Emily has an English degree from Creighton University and her teaching credentials from the University of St. Thomas. She taught 9th and 10th grade for 2 years overseas and then 4 years in California. Her experience in 9th and 10th grade gives her the advantage of knowing what our middle school students need to be prepared for high school.

Both teachers were interviewed by me and also a committee of 4 middle school teachers. Their credentials were reviewed and approved by Jennifer Cassidy, our incoming principal. While we will miss Marie Murphy and Dianne Brain immensely, we are very pleased with the quality of their replacements.

Sandy

Way to go Emily! Which school?

I had to turn in my company cell phone yesterday so I am now using Liam's phone. If anyone needs to reach me it is 440-610-9783.

We sold our house. It was on the market 6 days! We got very close to list price. Nance did a good job with the whole process.

Tom.

Lisa, you need to get on Facebook. I landed a summer school teaching job. I also just signed a contract for the fall with a new school as a Title 1 Math teacher. That I haven't posted on Facebook yet, so no one mention it there please.
