Happy Birthday, Des. Would you like some chicken chips and pepperoni to go with that beer and smoke?

What a sad day! Or should I say terrible day? This morning I was reading a column by Kathleen Parker in which she stated that she was told by a geneologist that she has common ancestry with Barak Obama. It seems that the common ancestors came to this country from Germany in 1733. The wife's maiden name was Anna Maria Barbara Hoffman and the man's name was Johann Pieter Straub! I can't believe there is a possibility that we are related to that socialist. Dad

Happy Birthday and Congratulations All,

Des, you look like you are going to order another beer and then a hit on someone who is edging in on your turf.

Please pray for Mel Gibson!

His wife just wanted, FREEEEDOMMMMMMMM!

Poor Mel. I feel so sorry for him. Jacka** that he is.

He was set up just like Paul McCartney...these women have one baby and then BAM the nasty divorce. Of course Mel should have stayed home with his wife and 8 other children, but I will forgive him this one mistake...(this girl isn't even pretty!)

I know...but that was a private phone call...I really don't think that type of talk is that unusual for a couple breaking up.

I won't forgive him! I can't believe you will. It wasn't his 1st mistake! First Jewish slurs and now blacks....I mean, replace with much worse ethnic terms. Please don't forgive him. It's an insult on all of us.

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. It was a great birthday. Actually, the day after my birthday was ideal. I biked to the top of Mount Tam and then had tacos AND sushi with my lady. COuldn't have been better.

This pic was taken in Cannes when Jen and I went to France two years ago. Every town we went to we would always party a little too hard our first night there. Yes, this was our first night in Cannes. I think we ended up in the bar at the Carlton hotel (made famous by To Catch a Thief) where we struck up a nice conversation with an Arabian prince. His handler whisked him away as if he was not to be associating with people like us. They left if a small motorcade Italian sports cars.

I quit smoking by the way.
