I'm just going to lay low this year. the holidays always bum me out.

Seems every this time some of my buddies go for a walk and die in a strange spontaneous explosion of feathers.

At least there are always some nice humans who come and take away the remains so they don't get desicrated.

I just got a notice in the mail that I could be part of a class action lawsuit settlement if I wish. All term life policyholders of Northwestern Mutual.
After lawyers and administrators get their share, how much would be left of $90 million? And, how many term life and disability policyholders do you think there are?

Or, perhaps, it's Mary Laurel who is trying to squish the camerman?

Tom always works the evening before and the morning after...so, we never travel. This year, actually, we may be open!

Mom and Dad are coming to our house and so are Lisa and her family and I believe all the Lavelles are coming also. Mom and Dad are leaving to Florida from here. We have lots of room and fun things for the kids. All of you are welcome. Frank, it's only 3 hours from Madison. Same for all you Algona people.

TIME magazine does have an article...maybe some already saw it...but google TIME and click on the current issue and it's their main election article by Joe Klein and it begins in Algona and focuses alot on my crock pot friend.

Frank-you oughta see if there's some weird bird you can cook. Squab or guinea or quail, or at least pheasant, or failing that duck or goose.

Hi, In years past we asked you to let us know if you are coming for Thanksgiving and to let us know even if you are not coming. I'd suggest that you do the same for Monica and Joe. It's tough when you hear from 7 who are coming for a total of 20 people and 3 who are not coming but you hear nothing from the other 4 who might represent an additional 15 people if grandchildren come. So please everybody, contact Monica to let her know one way or the other if you are coming and how many.

We hope to see many of you at Thanksgiving. We are heading to FL right from Monica & Joe's but we will have Christmas at our house with spaghetti and meatballs.

Love, Mom and Dad
