YAY For Caitlin! Yay for getting a math award! Yay for a party! Aand she started off so wrong, with that delight in her doll's head being smashed on the table.
That last comment lacks a comma. When a baby, caitlin would laugh, etc.
Our house is a construction zone right now. We took out the kitchen floor and all the appliances, sink, cupboards, etc. are all over the house. We are eating via crockpot and microwave. And, a grill. Menards had some tile on clearance so we took the plunge for the task of tiling and painting the kitchen.
i don't bake. i probably cook a lot more than you think. who has money to eat out all the time and who can eat pizza and hot dogs forever? well, i guess my husband can, but i can't.
Great party - delicious Greek food, beer, wine, lovely big tent in the back yard and perfect weather. Mike painted a cement retaining wall to look like a rock wall - very fun! All of Caitlin's friends are intimidatingly beautiful. It was nice to see Desi and Phelan. I didn't go to the graduation ceremony, held at the Orpheum Theater, but Mary said it was nice too. Congratulations, Caitlin!
Pat - never fear. The construction will last so long you'll just get used to living that way. Who needs a stove when you have a grill, a microwave, a crock pot and a lifetime supply of paper plates? What do the tiles look like?
They are supposed to look like natural stone - kind of slatey looking with blue and green and yellow swirled throughout. We've made pretty good progress. (mostly josh) Kitchen emptied of EVERYTHING, floor pulled up to subfloor, new plywood in, ceiling completely scraped of old bumpy paint, mudded, josh is priming today, we'll go buy paint tonight, painting tomorrow, pour leveling cement tomorrow night or the next day, and then we're ready for tiling. P
In class today, we watched a video with a quote from a genetic scientist that went like this, "blah, blah, blah will require a paradigm shift. An absolute paradigm shift. It needs to have that paradigm shift. Then, that will be the paradigm shift."
It reminded me of when Bush got asked about sovereign nations.
I was in Famous Dave's at lunchtime and I saw an old ad on the wall for Federal Propellers and it said, "equipoise ... (something else)...(something else)", you know, three attributes of these propellers. They have equipoise. It didn't mention synergy, though.
When Clyde died and his guts were all over the highway, Caitlin was fascinated as she watched someone (I don't remember who it was) shovel them (the guts) and him (Clyde) into the wheelbarrow and take them/him out to the field. She kept on wanting to go look at them/him. I think she was about 2. It was really funny.

I didn't know you cooked before you kitchen was torn up.
I saw a home remodel show and they used cool blue glass as a back splash instead of tiling. It was neat.

Caitlin rocks...more than me. :-)
Congratulaions Caitlin! Sorry we weren't there to celebrate.

I saw Caitlin laughing when a baby fell down and started crying.

I remember that. Caitlin couldn't stop giggling about it.
She wrote a story about how she finds these things funny, for her school newspaper...and the counselor called her in to talk about it!
