We start school nest week. It's going to be in the 90s and we have no air conditioning. They never cancel school either. Almost never for snow and no one can recall when they have ever done it for heat. I bought a new fan for my classroom.

We are coming Saturday, midmorning.

I can bring some kind of crockpot meal for lunch and will do Brussels sprouts and sausage in the crockpot for the big meal, along with some red cabbage kraut to go with the pork chops. The feast is Saturday, right? And plenty of snacks, water, breakfast food, etc.

We're worried about the kids in the heat, but I guess we can just try to do inside time in the afternoon. They like to watch football. I'll bring a sprinkler, too.

Yes! Baptisms!

We are very much looking forward to a special baptism ceremony after church for Nico and Norah.

We'll get there Friday, probably around 7:00. The porta potty should arrive on Friday also.

Yay, baptisms! After 8:00 Mass in Leon on Sunday, Rev. Mr. Joseph J. Straub will baptize Nico and Norah and we'll return to the farm for a celebratory brunch OR pork chop dinner (that part depends on whether there is a game everyone wants to watch after the Notre Dame game, but Andy thinks we won't be able to get the Iowa State game anyway) so I think the big dinner will be Saturday night. Either way, plenty to celebrate.
