Happy Anniversary! How did you two celebrate?

When Randy and I married, we got a blue tourmaline for his ring. 17 or so years later it's pretty much a mess. So we got a tiny, blue diamond for his ring. Looks great! We has the girls with us. Picked up his ring, rode the Cinderella carridge in the old market, then went to Bass Pro Shops to buy alligator appetizers. (and more) I also had a nice, frozen daqueri. Yum!

It was fun. I had on a new dress. We ran a red light. .. or rather clopped through a turning to red light while in the carriage. Our horse was Luke and the driver was Bob. The girls sang Christmas carols.

That sounds very nice! We walked around Northwestern's campus and then Evanston (toured Josh's college apartments - he hadn't been back in 20 years) to celebrate our marriage. The campus is impressive, but Notre Dame is definitely prettier.

Saw a plaque commemorating E. Spencer, who saved 18 lives in 17 trips:
"He was a student at Northwestern University in 1860, when a steamer called Lady Elgin was wrecked off the shores of Lake Michigan. Despite numerous injuries from floating wreckage, he repeatedly dashed into the raging surf to rescue passengers in mortal peril. Seeing his deteriorating condition, others tried to stop him, but on he went. He is credited with saving 18 people, one by one, finally collapsing in utter exhaustion. It is reported that, as he lay all night in the infirmary, he repeated over and over, "Did I do my best, fellows? Have I done my best?"

The USC comedian said, "We're going to win this game."

This is his first start ever. I admire his moxie but not his smarts. No need to give ND any bulleten board material.

Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving. We are spending the week in Savannah with Brianne's family for her mom's 60th birthday. It's been a lot of fun.

We are also very excited to tell you that we are expecting a baby in June. Brianne is a little over 12 weeks along. We will find out if it's a boy or a girl in January.

Happy anniversary Lisa & Randy and Pat & Josh!
