I had a nice time at the Algona Gala this weekend. Lots of glittery dresses and even a tiara or two. Then came home and finished up our taxes. Went out to eat at a Pakistani place and had goat. It was a good weekend.
Yes, it was fun at Gala and fun to sit with Monica! Yes, there were a few tiaras and lots of glittery dresses and tan cleavage...food was good this year but I'm jealous of Monica's goat.
Happy Birthday to all three beauties. Doing anything special? Do you get to have your favorite dinner? (I already know Grace had grilled fish and scallops, yum.)
I am really excited because the city came today and planted the boulevard tree we requested last year. Didn't Algona force Mary and Mike to remove their tree a while back? And we are lucky enough to get a free tree.
Happy Birthdays to all these ladies. Catie wanted to go shopping yesterday and the grandparents came over for Chinese take-out and DQ ice cream cake tonight. It was fun and required very little effort on my part which is always nice for a pregnant lady.
I bouught an XL Notre Dame T shirt. Mike Lavelle picked up the things we bought. My bidding number was 248. They charged me $248 for the shirt. I called right after lunch and the lady I spoke to knew immediately what I was calling about because she caught the mistake just before lunch. The correct price was $32 and they were going through all the bills to pick up on mistakes before they ran the credit cards. Dad
We got a great area rug...the bid card said it was only a 3x5 but it looked alot bigger to me, so without many other bidders we got it for $100...it looks beautiful in our bedroom!
