Some trivia to keep in your back pocket....Cleveland was named after a guy who spelled his name Cleavland. He left 2 months after founding the town never to return again. So ironically funny.
Stopped in Le Mars on the way home from Fremont yesterday and ate at Bobs drive in. Excellent loose meats which they call Taverns. Oh, and the cheese curds...yum! You can actually read a lot about it by googling the place. Then we went to the blue bunny ice cream shop. I didn't know LeMars was the ice cream capital of the world. Definitely worth getting off the hiway and driving into town.
Caroline had a fun party at the Reeders - baseball park food and lots of beautiful green space for the kids to run around in. She never napped all day.
Joe and Sean Kennedy were at Lisa's last night and we and Molly & kids joined them all for a delicious dinner. Sean's at Creighton today for freshman orientation.
Caroline had a wonderful time at her party! She is loving her new toys, too. SOme favorites in the last two days are an adorable stuffed doggie Molly made, and big blue car we push her around in, and baseball cards which she stores in the trunk of her new car. Luckily, she saved her birthday blues for the next day and was in a great mood on the day of her party. She did actually nap once, but that was in the morning because she woke up at 5am!
At her party she got to eat her first hotdog and ate her first PB&J sandwich today. She still preferred some tomatoes over these things though. The girl is crazy about tomatoes! She has been practicing walking a lot and is up to three steps at a time. Some new words she is trying this week are foot, hair, hat and hot.
Finn got his cast off this morning. His arm seems a little tender and he still walks around with his arm in the elbow bent position and doesn't really use it. The doctor said to be careful with it. They didn't even put the Velcro one on him or anything. I wish they would have. He came home and immediately the three boys were in a scrum. They don't even hear my yells of , "stop wrestling!"
Jude ate a can of tuna, plain and pea pods for lunch today. Strange boy wanted another can of tuna. Sounds like a good diet except for the mercury.

A seven foot gator was caught in a Boca Raton neighborhood this weekend. People were in their backyard, and there it was. Scary!

I've heard that story about Cleavland on History Channel or something. That is funny.
Ohh, Sean, have fun at orientation. When do you find out where you will live?
Ty, that is a great pic, looks like you are having a lot of fun! Happy Birthday!

Oooh, I wish they would have put one on him too. It doesn't seem like the cast was on that long (although it probably does to you!)
