Hello! I meant to post this message a couple of days ago but I forgot. Uncle Bob is saying today's (Sunday) Mass on EWTN and probably tomorrow's also. Mass is seen live on EWTN at 7am and is rebroadcast during the day. I'm pretty sure the times are at 11am, 5 or 6pm (I think it is at 6) and then at 10 or 11 pm, all Central time. A few minutes ago I got a call from an old neighbor from when we lived in Algona. She said she has had a very rough year including a heart attack 3 weeks ago and then had to go back to the hospital this past week. She could not go to Mass this weekend so she turned on EWTN this morning and was surprised to see that Uncle Bob was the celebrant. She said it was a wonderful, uplifting homily and Mass and that she feels much better about things now and that she just had to call me. I hope you have a chance to catch him one or both of these days. Dad
Hi, We saw a rerun of Uncle Bob saying yesterday's Mass on EWTN at 11pm last night. Then we caught today's Mass live at 7am. The homilies at both Masses were really good, especially last night's. I hope you'll be able to see one of the reruns today if you did not catch it at 7am. Dad
Happy Birthday Ryan! We just got your package mailed (with Ty's) so you get to celebrate again in two days.
Happy birthday Peter! Great photo! Hope you had a good day.
We had Catie and Mia for the weekend. Mia thinks she wants to be a princess or ballerina or something but what she really wants is to be a comedian. Every time she made me laugh, she would question me about what was funny about what she said, and repeat it, and when I said it wasn't so funny the next 27 times she would try various permutations ("But what if I say..." and try to dissect the humor so she could get another laugh later. And she made me sing "Ding Dong, the witch is dead" about 50 times in a munchkin voice so she could memorize it. We went to the General Dodge House on the fourth and Abraham Lincoln gave her a flag.
Molly, Brian, Joe, Brianne, Andy and I went to the first 80/35 music festival in Des Moines this weekend. It was a lot of fun but we missed Grace and Ryan. Andy and I did not go Friday night, when the Flaming Lips played, but everyone else said it was an excellent show. I was really happy to see Jakob Dylan, the Roots and everyone else on Saturday (even though I broke my toe!
Which toe? We missed you guys too. Ryan says thanks for the b-day wishes, and we can stop counting birthdays now. A riot just broke out in the living room, and when I asked what was going on out there, Braden yelled, "THE BOYS WON'T SAY UNCLE!!!" I better check it out.
ABATE went great! No we didn't sell 'em all...hope to sell the rest to the locals. :-) Our house is finally back to it's normal occupancy, with Donny and Nadia leaving Sunday, my folks on Monday and the neighbor's dog today! :-)
Happy b-day Ryan and Peter! Hope you guys had a great day. By the way Peter, everytine we go to Target and see the shopping carts with two seats, he says he wants yuo to come over so you guys can ride in the cart together.
Why is the past tense of bailo, baile but the past tense of tengo is tuve and the past tense of quiero is quise and the past tense of vengo is vine and the past tense of he is hay?? Por que? And don't even ask about the infinitives, gerunds, subjunctives and imperatives. Why was Espanol so easy in high school and so hard now?
Someone stepped on my toe early on, and I remember all day it felt like it had something on it, but didn't hurt. In the morning it was swollen, blue, and straight but since it was my pinky toe it use to lay sideways.
Does anyone else little piggy do that? Don't you guys all have long toes?

Hey, how was the 4th weekend in Algona? Did you sell all your t-shirts? Who did what?

Maybe they didn't allow irregular verbs in Catholic school.

For the same reason that the plural of mouse is mice and the plural of house is hise. Dad
