You can have it back now.

Emily - you lent me this mattress when you were a senior in college. I want you to know you can have it back now. You can see I was legal and everything - the tag is still there.

"You can have it back now...the baby."

Ed it looks to be in good shape still. Why are you giving it back?

Because it isn't.

Joe - I just read your report on the Garrigan game and I have to say good job. Reading it made me feel as if I was there.

Go Bears! (not Chicago)

Ed what's your new email address?

Is it just me...or, does this look like a crime scene photo?

I agree. There appears to be an attempt to wipe the wall of perhaps splatter from a shotgun blast. I'm thinking to the anterior of the skull . The vic was probably face down with their head to the wall.

That was me,

The can of Fanta by the bed is interesting. I didn't know people in the US drank Fanta. It was just about the only soda besides coke available in Macedonia.

Cathy, can you send me your flight info? Scott gets back from NY the same day you fly in, so he may try to change his flight to Ontario if there's an appropriate time available. IF it doesn't work out, it's no biggie because he can fly into LAX, John Wayne, or Long Beach and voucher the cab ride.

Also, who usually does the Christmas drawing? I think we should do it soon. I'm seeing some good deals out there.

I agree with Emily. We should do the Christmas drawing. All the trees are going up in the stores. I'm feeling pressured.

Emily - I don't think that's real Fanta. I think it's one of those cheap knock-offs of Fanta.

There appears to be a container of Metamucil on your bedside table...sexy, very sexy. :-<>

Anonymous said...

Yes, it's either metamucil or clorox wipes, both strange to have on your bedside table.

Detective Tom, That Fanta can is a big clue. It's obvious that a Macadonian terrorist cell is operating in the Chicago area. How do we know that Ed acually posted that photo?

My new e-mail address is:

edward.x.straub@jpmchase.com

that is neither. that is a container of computer wipes for cleaning off the computer. The bedside table is on the other side. What you are looking at is the computer desk.

I think we should have a draft instead of a drawing this year.

Ed, did you buy a new mattress? DId you get a tempurpedic? I am curious, has anyone eve slept on a tempurpedic and if so, are they as comfy as their price tag would indicate?

Anonymous said...

They're putting up Christmas Trees already? That's obscene. When did you notice the first one?
Also-Mike and Mary and I had a discussion yesterday and we're trying to decide the first TV show where the husband and wife did not sleep in separate beds. I'm thinking Newhart, maybe Green Acres. Excluding Marcia and Jan, what was the Brady Bunch bed situation?

The Bradys Mike and Carol slpet together.

Oh-yeah-Football Friday Night! Garrigan takes on hapless 1-3 Central Springs Manly. Should be a blowout and an oportunity for everyone to play, but you can't take anyone for granted. Available wbcast and myinfocentral.com.

They had the attic of a victorian brownstone perched over an ultra-modern house owned by an architect with six kids and only three bedrooms, not counting the pathetic little nook occupied by Alice the bondservant.

I like tangerine Fanta. You can't get it just anywhere, but you can get it here in Council Bluffs.

Anonymous said...

Iowa State vs. Nebraska tomorrow. Is it on TV anywhere?

Say it ain't so, Mets!

Anonymous said...

Dang. KLGA is doing Algona High. The nerve.

Anonymous said...

Who's, "doing," who? Eew.

Anonymous said...

I know I tried to listen too. Did BGHS win?

I can't believe the Mets lost again. I don't know if I can take ND doing so poorly AND the Mets losing first place in the 11th hour.

Anonymous said...

Yeah who won?

By the way - for you out of towners (out of Algona) Joe3 writes the stories for the garrigan games in The Algona Upper Des Moines.

Reading his prose is almost like being there except without the crowd noise, the brats, the sore butt from sitting a plank of wood, the wind, the cold, the thrill and spills, the annoying parent next to you, the PA announcer flubbing his calls. Otherise it's just like being there.

The Mets are now tied for fist place in the division with the Philly. If one wins today and the other loses the team that wins will win the division. If they both lose or both win they will have a one game playoff in Philly next week. The Mets are playing Florida and the Phils are playing Washington.

Even if they lose that game they could be in place for a 3 team playoff for the wild card (if the padres and rockies have the same record today).

They play at noon today.

Happy Birthday Joe Jhon Jaykack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Mets - who are they gonna fire over this?

Is the fact that I wake up earlier and earlier a sign of the onset of middle age (I've been getting up around 5 without an alarm)? Or could it be the worry of owning a small town business?

Tom

Anonymous said...

Can't help you with that one, Tom. I get up early too.

Anonymous said...

My bladder wakes up around 5 but I don't get up until 6.

Which reminds me of a joke...

Ya hear the one about the Indian that drank 20 gallons of tea?

They found him dead the next day in his own tea pee.

Good game story Joe3. How are Eli and Liam doing?

Last night the Milbraths and Stevo and I and the Richardsons were enjoying a spagetti dinner (courtesy of Lisa) and sitting around talking and passing seconds around and all of a sudden Mary Laurel piped up with an original poem:
Mommies and Daddies and uncles and aunts
Hug their little ones and star (?) their pants.

Everyone looked at her and said "And what their pants?"

Then she and Mia started trying to come up with a good verb to fit the poem. Mia was enthralled.

I refuse to read or watch anything having to do with the Mets' demise. I don't care why or how it happened.
